The method of judging the quality of high temperature automobile cable:
1. Wipe the copper wire with white paper: Since the unqualified copper wire contains more impurities and is unstable in fusion with the copper, it will leave traces (blackening) on the white paper after wiping.
2. Look at the color of the conductor copper wire: the national industry standard (national standard) stipulates that the cable conductor copper wire must be pure copper, that is, oxygen-free copper (industry called red copper, commonly known as red copper). The copper content of oxygen-free copper reaches 99.9 percent , the purity is relatively high, the color is bright and soft, the color of copper with high oxygen content and other impurities is dark, and the brightness is relatively low.
3. Observe the surface of the copper wire: The surface of the pure copper wire conductor should not have defects such as triangles, burrs, cracks, kinks, folds, inclusions, scars, pits, mechanical damage, corrosion spots, and spots.
5. Bend copper wire conductors back and forth: pure copper wire is softer, has better tensile strength, and is not easy to break.
5. Check whether the surface of the insulation and sheath is smooth and round, with uniform luster. There should be no visible lumps, bubbles, scorched objects, etc. The thickness should be uniform and not eccentric; no mechanical damage and flattening phenomenon; There should be no adhesion between them; the filling is full, and the cables are rounded; white marks are not easy to appear at the bends of the bent cables.
6. Measure whether the copper wire is deficient: it is easier to detect the non-pressed cable, directly measure the diameter of the copper wire with a caliper and then compare it according to the national standard cable parameter table. However, there are many pressure-type cables on the market today. In this case, it can be judged according to the weight of the unit cable, and also compared with the actual cable unit weight obtained according to the national standard cable parameter table.
