The main reasons for the damage of mining rubber-sheathed flexible cables are damp underground environment, mechanical external force injury, electrical corrosion of the cable insulation, long-term overload operation, fatigue damage from excessive bending and twisting of cables, and poor wiring process quality.
Common types of faults in cables are: short circuit, disconnection and grounding.
1) Short circuit: refers to the connection between the two or three phases of the cable, which is connected by wet dust, wires and burning objects.
2) Broken wire (open circuit): The three-phase core wire and the ground core wire are interrupted by arc or mechanical damage, so that the circuit cannot form a path.
3) Grounding: refers to the connection between a certain phase or three phases and the grounding core wire (or the equipment shell and the earth).
